This guide is the third
in the 'Gundog Club' retriever training series. It
is aimed at those whose dogs have either passed
their Grade Two award or have reached the Grade Two
standard
Introducing directional
control, the remote stop, gunfire and crossing
obstacles, Passing
Grade Three helps the handler to expand his range of
skills and begin to explore some more advanced
concepts. Obedience is taken to the next level
and the dog is taught to work with the handler in
the presence of increasing distractions.
Passing Grade Three contains
three sections
The emphasis at Grade
Three is beginning to shift towards the combinations
of skills required for retrieving in the field and
this is reflected in the extent to which retrieving,
and retriever skills, feature in this book.
