Grade Four candidate Brett Wroe and Cocker
Spaniel Max (owned by Angela Smith), and Grade Three
candidate Trefor Richards with his Cocker Spaniel
Doli, achieved their HR Field Test awards at
Matlock, Derbyshire, in September.
Hunting Retriever awards are specifically designed
to test the progress of working spaniels as they
undergo their field training. Grade Four is
also called 'Proficient Hunting Retriever' and
Brett and Max had to show a high standard of
proficiency to gain a Distinction at this
level.
Many congratulations to Brett Wroe, to Trefor
Richards, to Doli and Max and to Max's owner Angela
Smith, on their success.
Gundog
Club Grading system is non-competitive,
dogs must meet the standard in order to pass their
Gundog Club Field Test at each Grade.
Gundog
Club training is an ideal foundation for those that
wish to become involved in competitive gundog work
in the future. Or for those that simply want an
enjoyable and rewarding outdoor activity, and a
better relationship with their dog. |
