The Gundog
Club has decided to support the Guide Dogs for the
Blind as our chosen charity this year. Guide Dogs
are chosen for their temperament, trainability and
intelligence, and it is no surprise therefore that
more often than not, they are gundog breeds.
Guide dogs
transform the lives of blind or partially sighted
people. But it costs around £40,000 to produce a
fully trained Guide Dog and the Guide Dogs For the
Blind Association relies on charities and
sponsorship to provide its services.
The Gundog
Club is hoping, with the help of our supporters, to
raise £5,000 which will cover the cost of breeding
and puppy walking one Guide Dog puppy.
We will be
looking at a range of fund raising ideas, including
sponsored walks, direct donations, and donations
through some of our products and services. We
will update you as each one is put into action. |
