Does The Gundog Trust
exist yet?
Yes, The Gundog Trust is
now incorporated as a company limited by guarantee.
This process had to be completed before registration
with the Charity Commission could take place.
Why is The Gundog
Trust a 'limited company' not an Association or
Trust?
A company limited by
guarantee is the standard and appropriate legal
format for a Charity with employees and multiple
income streams. It is a non-profit structure.
Is The Gundog Trust registered
with the Charities Commission?
Not yet. This
process is currently underway
Where do I make a donation?
You will be able to make a
donation in a number of different ways. You
can find out more here
What about the Gundog
Club?
The Gundog Club is now
owned and managed by The Gundog Trust
I am already a trainer with
the Gundog Club, how will this change of ownership affect
me?
Your position as a GC
instructor will not be affected. The
Gundog Club will continue to monitor and support its
instructors as normal.
I am booked on a training
course with the Gundog Club, will this affect me?
No, the birth of this new
organisation will not alter your progression through
the Graded Training scheme
Who is running this
charity?
The charity is run by a
board of trustees. The trustees oversee
the management and administration of all the
processes which are involved in pursuing the
charities objects.
What will the
trustees do with the funds that are
raised?
The Trustees are
guided by, and must adhere to, the Charity's
governing document. All funds will go to
fulfilling the Gundog Trust's
charitable objects

Will the trustees be paid?
No, being a trustee is a
voluntary position.
Could I be a trustee?
We are not currently
seeking further trustees.
Does The Gundog Trust have a
website?
Not yet. We will be setting up a
website for The Gundog Trust in the future, in
the meantime, you can read more

How do I join The Gundog
Trust?
Once The Gundog Trust has
registered with the Charities Commission and been
officially launched, we will be able to bring
you more information about annual subscriptions.
Will this charity be just for
pedigree dogs?
No. The Gundog Trust will
work on behalf of all working gundogs, including
those that are not 'pure-bred' or that do not have
pedigree papers.
My gundog is of 'show'
breeding, will I be excluded from awards?
No, any gundog whose owner
wishes to become involved with gundog training in
any way, will be welcome to take part in the Graded
Training Awards just as they are now.
