Extending retrieving and distance control skills for Spaniels and Retrievers

DATE: Saturday 17th July 2010

A great opportunity to spend a day with one of our Wiltshire Instructors.  The aim of the day will be to  work on improving your dog's retrieving skills and remote stop whistle, up to Grade Three standard.  The day will consist of two hours fieldwork in the morning, followed by a pub lunch, and a further two hours fieldwork in the afternoon.  There will be plenty of opportunity to 'pick your instructor's brains' over lunch and at the end of the day.

SESSION START TIME:  - 10 am  

SUITABLE FOR:  Retrievers and Spaniels attending this workshop should meet the standard required (below). It is not suitable for complete beginners, dogs with behavioural problems, or for advanced retrievers.  See terms and conditions for more information.  Mixed breed gundogs are welcome. 

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT:  Dogs taking part in this workshop should already be able to walk to heel off lead,  recall in a group situation,  and fetch a dummy thrown by someone other than the handler.  A grade two Field Test™ certificate is not essential but is a good indicator that the dog is ready for this training day.  View the Grade Two standards for Spaniels  and Retrievers

WHAT TO BRING?:  You will need to bring your dog, a sliplead and your whistle,  all other equipment will be supplied by the trainer.  One dog only per handler.
