By completing and submitting a Gundog
Club workshop booking form, or by paying for a Gundog Club
workshop, you agree to the following terms
and conditions of booking.
CONDITIONS OF BOOKING ACCEPTANCE
Booking forms: You must submit a workshop
booking form online or by post, in order for your
booking to go ahead.
The
booking form must be filled in by the person who
will be handling the dog during the workshop (or their
legal guardian if under 18 years of age) and
the handler (or their legal guardian) must indicate
their agreement to these terms and conditions.
Payments received without a booking form will result
in a reserved place, but no details of the workshop
location will be sent to the handler until they have
filled in a booking form as well.
CONFIRMATION OF ORDER /AVAILABILITY OF PLACES
1.
We will contact you
to confirm your booking once we have received your
full payment and workshop booking
form. We aim to email all those placing online
bookings within two working days of receiving their
payment.
We will do our best to
indicate on each workshop webpage immediately a
workshop is fully booked. If however, the
workshop
is already full when we receive your booking, we
will contact you and refund any payment you have
made in full.
NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE
Please note that a booking fee is included in
every workshop place purchase. The booking fee of £20
+ vat (£23.50) is non-refundable, except as
described below, under the headings ‘cooling off’
and ‘cancellation by us’.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Online:
You
may book your workshop place online. If you choose this option,
your space will be reserved for you once we receive
your cleared funds and booking form. Please note
that e-cheque payments may take over a week to clear
and we cannot confirm your place until payment is
cleared.
By telephone:
We accept credit or debit card bookings over the
telephone.
By cheque:
You may post a cheque. Please note that we cannot
confirm your place until your cheque has cleared
COOLING OFF PERIOD
You are entitled to a
seven day 'cooling off' period following your
booking to enable you to cancel if you wish. During
this time you may contact us to let us know that you
do not wish to continue with your booking, and we
will refund your payment in full. The following
conditions apply:
i) The cooling off
period ends at 5pm on the seventh day following your
booking. If you booked before 5pm, or at midnight on
the same day if you placed your booking between 5pm
and midnight UNLESS the workshop starts before this
time, in which case the cooling-off period ends at
the planned start time of the workshop
ii) Your booking is
considered to have commenced when you make your
first payment, or submit a booking form, whichever
is the first.
iii) Cancellation during
the cooling off period should be made in writing to
'The Training Co-ordinator, The Gundog Club, Hearn
Farm, Spats Lane, Headley, Bordon, Hants GU35 8SU or
by emailing admin@thegundogclub.co.uk
CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT BY US
Cancellation: We
reserve the right to cancel any workshop at our
discretion. Reasons for cancellation might
include (but are not limited to) workshops where numbers are insufficient or a trainer is
indisposed. If we cancel a
workshop
your payment including the booking fee will be refunded in full.
Postponement:
We reserve the right to postpone any workshop at
our discretion. Reasons for postponement might
include (but are not limited to) workshops where numbers are insufficient or
where a trainer is
indisposed. If we postpone a
workshop
we will refund your payment (including the booking
fee) in full or you may choose to keep your
place on the workshop at the re-assigned start date.
CANCELLATION BY YOU AFTER THE 'COOLING OFF' PERIOD
Once your cooling off
period has ended, if you are unable to attend the
workshop and let us know no later than 21 days before
the date of the workshop, we will refund your
payment, minus the non-refundable deposit of £20 +
vat (£23.50). We regret that we are unable to offer
refunds for cancellations made within 21 days of the
start date of a workshop..
VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographs/video taken by us:
Gundog Club staff and/or
trainers, may
occasionally take photographs during training
sessions.
We reserve the right to use these photographs for
publicity purposes. In each instance, we will
endeavour to inform you first, however, if you do
not wish photographs of yourself or your dog to be
used for this purpose, please inform the Gundog Club
office in advance of the date of your workshop.
Photographs/video taken by you:
If you wish to take
photographs of your own, during the workshop, please
ask permission from your trainer. Their decision is
final in this matter. If permission is granted,
please respect the wishes of any member of your
group who does not wish to be photographed. If
you take photographs during any Gundog Club training
session your rights to the use of those photographs
are restricted as follows.
Copyright and reproduction:
The Gundog Club expressly
forbids the right to reproduce any part of our
lessons in any form (e.g. on the internet, DVDs,
photographs etc). Anyone suspected of filming or
photographing the lessons for any purpose of
publication, without the written permission of the
Gundog Club management, may be asked to leave
the session.
Liability:
The Gundog Club cannot be
held liable for the actions of third parties, and
therefore excludes to the fullest extent possible by
law, any liability arising from a breach of this
section headed “Video and photography” by any party.
SPECTATORS
Students are asked not to bring spectators with
them. Spectators are not permitted on the
training ground without the written agreement of the
trainer. Such permission is unlikely to be granted
except in exceptional circumstances
DOGS
Ability
Each
workshop may set out required standards of ability
that attending dogs will need to meet in order to
benefit from the workshop. Dogs that do not
meet this standard on the day will not benefit fully
from the day. If an unsuitable dog is behaving in
such a way as to interfere with the proper running
of the workshop, or with the rights of the other
students on the workshop to an enjoyable and
educational experience, that dog may, at the
discretion of the trainer, be excluded from the
class.
One dog per students
Each
student may only bring one dog to the workshop.
Bitches on heat are not permitted on the
training ground without the written agreement of
the trainer. Such permission will only be
given if all the other dogs on the workshop are also
bitches. Please do not book a place on a
workshop during a period of time when you think your
bitch may come into season.
Behavioural problems: Students must
not make a booking on any workshop, for any dog
which they know, or believe, to be aggressive. The trainer
has the right to exclude from his sessions any dog
which in the opinion of the trainer, has behavioural
problems which may interfere with the classes to the
detriment of other students and their dogs.
This includes but is not limited to, dogs
which are aggressive, or bark excessively, and dogs
which run away (no recall).
Health: All dogs attending the
workshop must be in good health and have up to date
vaccinations. The trainer may ask to see
evidence of vaccination status before allowing
access to his classes Please do not bring a
dog to the workshop which has been in contact with an
infectious disease within the previous 21 days.
STUDENTS
Age restrictions
Students attending workshops must be at least 16
years of age. Students under 18 years old must
be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian
Disruptive behaviour: The trainer has the
right to exclude from his sessions any student who in
the opinion of the trainer, is behaving in such a
way as to interfere with the proper running of the
workshop, or with the rights of the other students on
the workshop to an enjoyable and educational
experience.
