Intermediate training courses:
Grade Three courses are aimed at those whose dogs
have either passed their Grade Two award, or have
reached the Grade Two standard. One dog per
handler. Each eight
week course consists of weekly one hour sessions.
Trainers will provide instruction, support and
demonstrate correct techniques to help students make
good progress. Students will be expected to
practice regularly at at home in between lessons.
Small groups: Groups will usually
consist of a maximum of six students to enable
proper attention to each class member and to
minimise distractions to the dogs.

Categories of gundog: Most Grade
Three courses are suitable for retrievers. Many are
also suitable for spaniels, and crossbred dogs
of this type. Check the course details for the
course you are interested in, to make sure that your
preferred category is included. Note: There are not
currently any Grade Three courses for HPRs
available. If you would like to be informed when our

The Grade Two standard:
In order to attend
this course, you will need to have taken your dog up
to the standard required to pass the Grade Two field
test. If you have neither working through the
'Passing Grade Two' training guide, nor successfully
completed a Grade Two test, please review the test
standard and make sure that you are confident in
your dog's ability to meet the standard in a variety
of different locations, before booking a place on a
Grade Three course.

Grade Three Test: The final week of
the course will include the Grade Three test.
Cost: The total cost of the course
is £126 + VAT. This includes all tuition
and the Grade Three test. You will need to pay in full when
you book your place on the course of your choice.
