Grade Three  -  what is it all about?

Retriever

Hunting Retriever

HPR

Teamwork - By the time you complete your Grade Three test,  you and your dog will be beginning to work together as a real team.

Proofing obedience -  your dog will learn to work with you in the presence of increasing distractions.

Increasing skill  -  you will continue to expand the range of your dog's skills and will begin to introduce some more advanced concepts

Which test should my dog enter?

Retriever tests are for dogs whose main role will be as a retriever.  The retriever tests are also suitable for pet gundogs whose owners would like to enjoy a more active involvement with their dog and develop their pet's retrieving skills.  Read more about retriever awards...

Hunting Retriever tests  are for dogs whose primary role will be as a hunter.  They are suitable for spaniels and any gundog intended to hunt and flush game in close proximity of the handler.  All HR tests include retrieving.  Read more about spaniel awards...

HPR tests are suitable for all HPR breeds of gundog and for gundog crossbreeds intended to hunt, point and retrieve.  Read more about HPR awards....
