OBEDIENCE

HEEL: The dog walks to heel on the lead, for 20 yards from the 'line' to the 'sit marker'

SIT & STAY: The dog must sit on command at the sit marker. The handler removes the dog's lead and returns to the 'line' without him. The dog remains seated until recalled after a 30 second stay.

RECALL: The handler standing on the line, recalls the dog from the sit marker (20 yards)

CONFIDENT EXPLORATION: The dog demonstrates a willingness to run and explore away from his handler

SIMPLE RETRIEVES

TWO MARKED RETRIEVES: The dog retrieves each dummy directly to the handler. The first is at 15 yards, the second is at 20 yards. Retrieves are thrown by an assistant to fall in clear view of the dog.
