There are currently HPR awards
available at Beginner, Junior, and
Intermediate Grades.
Working towards these awards will provide you and
your HPR with an excellent foundation from which to
progress your gundog training.
Who can enter?
HPR awards are suitable for all
gundogs who are being trained for versatile hunt,
point and retrieve style gundog fieldwork. They
are also suitable for those that simply want
an interesting and healthy activity to share with
their pet HPR gundog.
Popular breeds entering our graded training scheme
in this diverse category are Weimaraners, Hungarian
Vizslas, and German Shorthaired Pointers. Also
included are Italian Spinones,
German Wirehaired Pointers, Munsterlanders, several
other breeds and crossbreeds of HPR origin.
No pedigree is required, and pet dogs are very
welcome to participate
Making progress with your HPR
Some of you may be ready to move
on with your training before the next Field Tests
are ready for release and we will be happy to put
you in touch with an experienced HPR trainer for
advice. One-to-one training with an HPR
specialist is available in many areas,
and we will be releasing more HPR Field Tests during
the course of 2010

Development of further HPR
grades:
We look forward to adding to the
available HPR Field Test grades during 2010. There
will be six grades in total on completion of the
scheme. We will
inform those on our mailing list, and post up news
on the website as each new grade is completed.
