Vic Olner is an Accredited Gundog Club trainer with significant experience of gundogs both in the UK and Europe.
Vic offers one-to-one tuition and problem solving sessions for puppies, novice, and experienced dogs throughout the year.
He welcomes and encourages beginners and pet gundogs, and teaches with reward based methods.
Training grounds
Access to an area of outstanding natural beauty enables Vic’s students to practice a variety of exercises over undulating bracken banks.
The use of the nearby woodland and the banks of the river Arrow ensures that dogs become accustomed to challenging but quite natural barriers.
“This natural environment ensures a steady progression for all levels of experience of both handler and dog” explains Vic.

Vic has been a Kennel Club Field Trial Judge for almost twenty years and has been an A panel judge for ten years. He has competed successfully in both national working tests and Field Trials, and has qualified for the Retriever Championships on several occasions.
Vic describes his techniques as being based on a “show-ask-tell” principles that achieve a well balanced and successful gundog. He offers a variety of small group training course options in preparation for Gundog Club Field Tests or to help students achieve their personal aims.
